WHY SHOULD YOU STUDY A LEVEL SOCIOLOGY?

Sociology is the study of human society and culture. The A Level course spans a wide range of topics and allows you to examine social and cultural habits, behaviours and attitudes, gaining insight into the key elements that underpin human existence. These include identity, culture, gender, ethnicity, social class, childhood and the role of the family.

Topics covered often relate closely to current affairs and will stimulate your awareness and understanding of contemporary social, cultural and political issues.

If you want to pursue a career in social work, politics, the police force, nursing, teaching, the media, law, research, medicine, marketing, advertising or PR, then studying Sociology at A Level is a great first step.

WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW TO ENROL?

There are no prior knowledge requirements for A Level Sociology. However, all Rainbow Digital Academy A Level students are required to have a GCSE/IGCSE in English Language and Maths at Grade C/4 or above.
