WHY SHOULD YOU STUDY CAMBRIDGE A LEVEL BUSINESS?
If you want a thorough grounding in the skills required for today’s rapidly changing business world, our Cambridge A Level Business course will provide it. Most employers are keen to employ individuals with a good understanding of business. Students who study A Level Business can go on to pursue Accountancy, Economics and a whole range of Management-related courses at university.
You’ll gain knowledge of all aspects of running a business and also the skills required to start your own. Whatever scale your future business is on, whether you are selling homemade produce or running a large corporation, you’ll need to understand the basics of a successful business. This course will enable you to do so.

WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW TO ENROL?
Some universities advise that combinations of A Level subjects with similar content should be avoided. For example if you propose studying A Level Economics and A Level Business you are advised to contact universities before making decisions about subject combinations that include these two subjects. There is no prior knowledge requirements for A level Business Studies, however, all students must have a GCSE/IGCSE in English Language and Maths at Grade C/4 or above.
THE SYLLABUS AND THE EXAM
Our course will prepare you for the Cambridge International Examination Business syllabus 9609. The full A Level qualification comprises exams at AS and at A Level, which may be taken together or separately. Exams take place in March (India only), June and November.
For the AS Business you will take: Paper 1: Short Answer and Essay worth 20% of the AS level or 10% of the full A Level. (1 hour and 15 minutes) Paper 2: Data Response worth 60% of the AS level or 30% of the full A Level. (1 hour and 30 minutes)
To complete the full A Level Business qualification, in addition to the AS papers above, you will take: Paper 3: Case Study worth 50% of the full A Level. (3 hours) This paper is based on additional A Level syllabus content and also assumes knowledge and understanding required for AS Level above.
